What was Ray Allen talking about?

At the ESPY's Award; he said they all subscribe to the phrase Nabutu or Muabutu; do anyone know what he is talking about; I know I'm setting myself up for this one, but I was wondering?

Before every practice, after every practice, as they head out to the court before every game, the Celtics get together in a huddle and break by saying the word, “Ubuntu.”

“It’s an African proverb that a friend of Doc’s brought in,” said Ray Allen. “He talked in training camp about what Ubuntu means in his village in Africa and how most of the people in Africa subscribe to this philosophy of living.

“ It’s basically their form of teamwork. Without everybody you can’t be your best. I remember the gentleman told us we haven’t been through adversity yet. We talk about the adversity of going through it. We’ve had a lot of situations late in the season where you have to realize this is Ubuntu now. Don’t be short with each other. You’ve got to come together more.”
