Does The name "Sparti" means "watered men?

Tried to find it, but the only thing I could find was Spartae, these giants came from Are's dragon that Cadmus slew and sewed it's teeth into the ground from which sprang giants, and by throwing a stone among them caused an uproar that only 5 survived the battle. It was a great honor to have been descended from these lines, and often were called houses that sprang from the earth. Sorry about not finding the meaning of the name.
