my husband lost his job recently. he has another one lined up but will not receive a paycheck for another month and we need help with rent and other bills. does anyone know of any good places or websites to look for help?

Please look for your County's/State's Department of Social Services information either via telephone book or the internet. Also, some local Churches will assist you if it is your first time going for help. The best thing you can do is to act early and not wait until you are in the worst position you can be in. Also, try to communicate with your landlord and creditor's to let them know of your hardship and that you all will be ok once your husband starts the new job. Best Wishes, we all have been there :o)

No such animal. That's why every household needs savings. Ask your relatives if they can loan you something to tide you over. And what about the income from your job?
