I don't really like the the name. Not just because its and easy target for jokes its just a bit to much for my liking.

It's a very nice name for when the child is grown, but there's just no way they'd get out of school without being ridiculed

Don't do it. Your child has to live with that name forever. It will affect peer interactions, popularity, self-esteem, and even future job prospects. Unfortunately modern culture has ruined a lot of perfectly good names and words.

Why don't you call her Galini!(I mean the way it is pronounced in Greek!It's a Greek name after all)

How about Halen, Jalen, Calen, Kalen, Malen, Whalen, or Galron, Galvin, Galon, Galvin, Galo or Gal?

I love unique names, it sounds pretty.
