What does it mean when you are coming to a stop and the car starts shaking?
Im about to buy this car but dont trust the fact that it rattles when it stops and doesnt shift very well. Its a 99 Ford Taurus for 1900.

Run, don't walk, run away from that car. First your are going to need a full break job, then if it is having shifting problems, sooner than later, you are going to need transmission work, either new or rebuilt. However, that could cost half of what you paid for the car. If you buy this car, figure within the next year you are going to have to put another 2 grand into it.
Is it worth 4000?

I've had passengers shaking after giving them a ride, but, so far I've never scared my car!
If the transmission is bad it will cost you as much as you just paid for the car. I recommend buying something that is in good shape. Best bet is to take it to your mechanic and have them check it over. What else can go wrong or is currently wrong with this car?

well its a go dbet you should pass it by.... really used car test ... walk around looking for dent discolor and at the tires for uneven wear check the tail pipe for black or wet.. look under for oil or wet spots on the ground and the car... open the hood check the oil and other fluids... any of thses is a dont buy me sign.... then you start it and listen to how it cranks and starts.. then you drive it 30 minute checking braking and taking off how it steers... you also check every button and switch.. when you get back from drive you recheck everything again.. and decide... but id never buy any car if it has a problem is not a good sign to start with .. and this one has at least two problems to start off pass it by find another

Hello,
If you have any dought whatsoever, DO NOT purchase this vehicle. Remember, you get what you pay for so do a little researching on used cars. Locate a mechanic of your choice and have him inspect a vehicle before you purchase it. A inspection prior to buying could save you a lot of money in the long run.
good luck

Brakes are not grabbing right... indication that the rotors are bad from what you are stating. It would require a full brake service.
