There should be a fairly large slotted screw on the starboard

side of the engine near the bottom of the saddle bracket. You

will see a hole through the bracket and you can loosen it from there. You say that it will not start either? It probably has

a blown fuse and it will be located under the cowling.I hope this helps and good luck.

if it wont start and wont lift I say dead battery, poor connection, or dead fuse. Check the battery, make sure its charged. Second, check the connection the motor has to the battery, it should be tight. third, it may be a fuse which is not something I can direct you on but if you know which one it is then its easy to replace

On my Yamaha there is a manual override you can do with a screw driver. It is on the transom mount side of the motor. Looks like a small hole with a head of a screw... simply insert screwdriver and twist.,
