Is sending money (via credit card) through paypal a cash advance??
I am purchasing a motorbike for $3600 and need to pay with my credit card. I have seen the bike and trust the person selling. Now instead of going into the bank and asking them to take off $3600 from my credit card and then have to pay high interest, can I instead "send" the money to the sellers e-mail address via my credit card and have it go through as a normal credit card transaction.
This purchase is not through ebay, just through local newspaper. Also through paypal, i would be sending money to the seller, the seller will not be requesting the money. If that even makes a difference.
Will give 10 points to most helpful and thanks in advance to everyone.

The correct answer is, ask the card ISSUER. Logically, this is a 'gray area'. Legally, logic does not matter. If the card issuer says it is a cash advance, it IS a cash advance.

YES. This is a scam. I was 90% sure just from the fact you asked, and a money order was involved. Any doubt I had was OBLITERATED by the mention of Craigslit and a job. OK, now to read your details. "I've actually gotten someone for the position posted online but i have this other position available." That alone is irrefutable evidence of a scam. "You can do the shopping at Bestbuy, Kmart, Sears and Wal-Mart or any other stores. I will provide you my UPS account number for shipping." If they do enough business with UPS to HAVE an account, they don't need total strangers to do their shopping. Muhtasin Shajon: A "Top Contributor" is NOT necessarily someone that knows SQUAT.
