Inflammatory Bowel Disease such as Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis. It's becoming more prevalent seeing as one of ABC's newscasters has Crohn's and is doing public service announcements about CCFA and raising $$$ for research to find a cure.

I am more than willing to share everything I know via a patient's view point. I also have an ileostomy and had student nurses attend our local ostomy meetings to do their community service projects for school. They really enjoyed it b/c she learned from us and vice versa.

You could discuss Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. There are lot of theories about this condition (what causes it, its symptoms and treatment etc), with some doctors even doubting if it actually exists. It's a complex disease and there is no specific full-proof treatment for it also.
