E.S.P Question...?

This is actually normal and not ESP. The mind occasionally interpretes background sounds or even random firings of neurons in the audiotory cortex as meaningful sounds - your name is one it particularly "looks out" for (which is why you often pick up on it in unattended conversation). It's not abnormal. Some people hear other sounds, some people have reported as complex sounds as thinking the tV was on in the next room. It's easier when you have a lot of background noise and you're not paying attention (I used to get something similar in lectures). There is no evidence to suggest what you've experienced is paranormal in origin.

The chance of someone calling within a few days is actually quite high, co-incidental.And you've even justifed the occasions when someone *doesn't* call as it being a passed loved one. This is confirmation bias.

its been said that when you hear your name its your guardian angel letting you know they're watching you. I personally believe it b/c I have heard and seen mine :)

It can be all of the above if your not sure now it will be clear to you latter.
