At this point Cuil has many flaws.
1. its servers crash as they lack the adequate power to handle the load of search queries.
2. The search results are not relevant to the search query.
3. For many simple search patterns, no search results are displayed. Google would display hundreds and thousands of results for these search patterns.
4. It is easier to spam Cuil to get to the top as it only scans the content of the website.
5. Search results on page 2 onwards are not available in many cases.
6. The magazine like layout for displaying the result sucks.
Cuil will have to overcome these flaws as soon as possible or target a different kind of search engine niche, in order to be a formidable rival to Google.

Trust me, it's not "rivaling" Google. They should try getting into something completely different... the search engine idea is already covered and dominated by Google.

No it displays too many blogs and BUY THIS type sites for standard informational searches.
Some of the results are totally irrelevant and are duplicated on the first page of the search results.
They still have a lot of work to do.
