I got a new laptop a few months ago and it had Vista. Can't run at least 1/3 of my programs on it -- really irritating. For that reason I have to say XP.

Vista. Some people say Vista uses up much system ram. Which is true. Vista uses these ram to speed up the computer. Thats why there isn't much free ram. Xp wastes those free ram doing nothing. Vista is even more compatible than XP than u think it is. Vista hasn't any problem to me for 1 year already. Vista is faster when opening application and starting up the computer. Some people consider XP because they are too used to XP or they are gamer. It seems vista is slower in games by 2-5 fps. No big deal. VISTa!

XP, but Vista is getting better and better. I wish I could have Vista Ultimate 64-bit edition!! I also love Linux!!! And Mac OS X 10.5

I have Vista, but I think XP is better.
