Port Forwarding on my wireless modem.?

I recently bought a SlingBox and am trying to set it up to where I can access it from outside my home. SlingBox tech support tells me I need to contact my ISP to enable Port Forwarding on my modem. My ISP tells me they don't support that. When I enter my modem's IP in my address field I am able to access it, but under the Gateway Option, there is no Port Forwarding Option.

I have an Ambit U10C019 wireless modem.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm about ready to just return my slingbox...I can't seem to get it. =/

Thanks!!!

Update:

It's a wireless modem...do I really need a router?

Port Forwarding (PAT) is done on a router, not a modem. You'll need a router to complete this task.

in the setup you describe, you want to set your modem open so as that each one ports are considered. Are you effective that the modem does not have its own router interior? The linksys router could then be set to ahead your required port. As a debugging step, you may want to attempt connecting your computer on to the modem, and word in case you could get minecraft to paintings then. once that works, then connect the router lower back in, and make that paintings.
