How long after you stop taking B.C. are you suppose to get your period?

I have stopped taking my birth control pills for close to two weeks already but have not gotten my period yet.Does any one know by when I should get it. I know every one is different but would like to know if this is normal. I'm trying to get pregnant so I'm just anxious to see.I already have two boys so I don't know if I could have bigger chances since I have already been pregnant before. So please help.

Update:

I was taking seasonique and I stopped at the beginning of last month of the pack.

Update 2:

I haven't been that long on these pills this is only my second pack.

You should have gotten the normal 'withdrawal' bleed after you took your last pill. After that, you will probably get another period within 4-6 weeks (unless you conceive immeidately) but it's not uncommon to go a few months without anything before you start having regular cycles again.

(If you stopped the pills very early in the pack you might not get a withdrawal bleed. So you might, again, start cycling again regularly immediately, or need a few months.)

(Having been pregnant before has no effect on when you will start up again.)

It really just depends on how long you took your birth control pills, but to be safe, you you should wait for three months after finishing your last dose to make sure there aren't any lasting effects of the medicine. I was on the depo shot and it took a year and a half just to get back to being regular. My sister was on the pill and she was pregnant two weeks after she stopped.

Everyone is different and every birth control is different. Your body is in shock, b/c the bc pills were doing its job for it. It needs to get back in the routine of having a period on its own and ovulating.
