hold down the fn key and the turn on the power button to run a full system check. it may find whats wrong, best bet would be to allow your computers tech support access your computer through remote access and let them fix it. it worked for me. also try this link- http://free.pc-error-repair.org/error/library/0x00... the problem is caused by a corrupt regestry. good luck

THis is an error related to your Windows XP NTFS File System.
Usually this can be repaired by booting into the Safe Mode w/ Command Prompt. However in this case it might be best to either 1. Buy a new hard drive (you wanted to upgrade anyway didn't you??) or 2. Contact your Manufacturer to see about Diagnostics - all major MFG's of laptop seem to include some tool set to scan the system..
Good Luck!

It may be possible that a newly installed program is making problems in the working of your computer. If this is the case, uninstall the newly installed program. Click Start | Control Panel. Click Programs | Uninstall a Program. Select the newly installed program, and click Uninstall button. Follow the on screen instructions. It can be possible that your RAM is not functioning well. Change it, if required. If you have multiple RAMs, then try them one by one individually. Uninstall a device installed on your computer which is not functioning properly. Use Device Manager as shown below: 1. Click Start. 2. Type "Device Manager" in the Search box. 3. Press ENTER key 4. Click View | Show Hidden Devices. 5. Do you see an exclamation mark before the name of any of the listed devices? If so, such device is not functioning properly. Right click it, and select the Uninstall option. That's pretty bad. Try the Safe Mode again. Try it a few times and then go on the next option and so on. If it doesn't start at all then you may need to reformat you Hardrive which will wipe out everything except for the factory settings and files.

Could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This problem can be solved by uninstalling new softwares, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes . From http://fixit.in/bluescreenofdeath.html . You can also run a free registry scan using utilities from http://re7.info/
