follow a pattern of an imaginary figure 8. lope your horse on the two halves of the 8 and in the middle ( where the two halves are connectect, switch to a trot and then go back to the lope when you reach the second half of the eight changing leads---post with no stirrups---do rollbacks---use 5/10 gallon buckets and place them how three barrels would be placed... you can barrel race, or for ex. go to the left barrel and circle around it, then head to the middle or last barrel and circle left around it and then go to the second barrel and circle left around it--- use the same buckets or poles and make an obsticle course. place four logs down and have you horse trot over them, place the "barrels" in a straight line and circle around the first one and walk/trot through the next two as if you are racing in poles, walk over a bridge--- GO ON A TRAIL RIDE! that is sooo good for both you and your horse!!! if you need any more idea please email me @ harleysue@gmail.com! we do sooo many exercises.. i'd be happy to tell you more!

Try riding without stirrups for an entire session. It is great fun and helps improve your balance. Why dont you try two point for an entire riding session as well? It strengthens your legs and back.

riding IS an exercise. posting while trotting, using your legs to control an animal that big, and keeping your balance all work muscles. also, caring for the horse would take physical effort.

A really good one is riding without stirupps- It helps your balance get better. Poles is another good one...just set up some poles and practice position over them. If you have a trainer you could also ask to try no reins. It helps you communicate better with your legs. Hope this helps!!

BAREBACK. This builds a ton of muscle. Espically jumping bareback(which is totally fun). Also, this may sound stupid but long reining your horse is great exersice for you and the horse becasue you have to keep up.

Riding bareback.
It is a good thing to do to connect with your horses, and to build muscles in your legs and core.

elevate legs up and down, one after the other. elevate legs up at the same time at the same time as preserving in abdomen and carry position for see you later as you could. carry out hands and elevate up and down , and use 5 lbs. weights at the same time . you may want to apply wrist weights and use them as ankle weights besides at the same time as doing the workouts. do arm workouts also with the help of preserving arm out and bend at elbow with weight on wrist. Repeat all various situations. you could carry out a touch lunges at relax stops basically outdoors the vehicle or at the same time as at gas stations. it is also a danger to really do jumping jacks or contact your ft etc. at the same time as at stops. you'd be ingenious. i assume you're literally not utilizing!!
