Each time I plug in my Ipod shuffle to charge I lose all my songs. How do I stop this from happening?
I did copy all my songs to a folder so I can bring it over quickly. But if I was to charge it on another computer I would be out of luck.

usually, if your ipod belongs to more than one itunes library (on separate computers), songs may be deleted inexplicably. you should have only one main library, and if you want to charge your ipod on another computer, maybe itunes should be uninstalled on that particular computer.

You need to check the box manage music manually. It's above the storage space bar in itunes when you first plug your shuffle into the computer. It erases when plugged into other itunes libraries because you have automatically sync to music library checked, so it can only sync with one library at a time so it must erase to sync with a new one

it may be set to restore everytime look for a check box that says something about restoing your ipod when connected and if it's checked un check it.
