Not too long ago I was 'detained' while flying from Chicago to St. Kitts. No explanation as to why I was 'selected' to be pulled from the cattle-like lines of those boarding the plane was offered. I was 'frisked' with a hand-held device, asked several questions, and there was the implication that if I became belligerent or uncooperative, it would not be tolerated. Was I on 'the list'??? I don't know.

I do know, however, that I'm supposedly living in a 'free' country that presumes me to be innocent until proven guilty. Such intimidation tactics are wrong.

This is nothing more than police-state scare tactics, designed to implant fear in both the person being singled out - AND - to ensure more compliance from all those others waiting in line to board the aircraft.

We live in a free society. If we are going to remain a free people, we MUST be willing to assume that certain 'risks' come with our democracy, even the 'risks' that 'terrorists' might live among us. Otherwise, we become just another tattoo, another name on the enemies' list, or another 'suspect' that can be detained, intimidated, or even jailed - if for no other reason than to be made an example of.

As one state motto so proudly declares: "Live free or die".

Considering the multiple accounts that many users possess and maintain, it would be quite a difficult task to accurately determine how many would be blacklisted, the exact same problem that plagues the Terrorist Screening Center to begin with (suspects' aliases). LOL

How would I know, where is the list? Let's just assume, yes I'm on it...isn't it cute how they protect the annonymity of terror suspects? Cause they know probably 99.9% of them are completely benign.
