Sims question....??

Is it true that when you delete a Sim or a family or a house, does it stay inside the computer even though they are completely deleted from the game are they still in the computer.

Update:

And if so is there anyway that could completely delete them. Would defragmenting the computer work

Well, yes - their character files do stay on there and in the neighbourhood files. Avoid deleting sims from the neighbourhood completely. It corrupts neighbourhood files. For example: if a sim has a memory of a deleted sim, it will interfere with their character file and maybe make it corrupt. This causes tons of problems. Instead, make sims die if you don't want them.

In SimPE when looking at character files, deleted sims will appear and they will contain missing data. Next time, just don't delete them. And if you hate the same default townies appearing, download clean templates from here: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/to...

It also empties the Sim Bin from families such as the Ottomasses, Travellers, Ramaswamis, Roselands, Critturs, etc so you won't need to delete them if unwanted.

It is true that ANY file on your computer, whether it's a picture, text document, your tax returns, whatever, will remain on your computer permanently. The only way to delete them from ever being retrieved would be to reformat your hard drive -- but you would lose everything else.

Defrag does not take care of it. Emptying your recycling bin doesn't fix it. ONLY a reformat will remove every trace of the file.
