This is how I potty trained my dog and he got it in one day! As soon as he peed on the carpet I got a paper towel and soaked it up then I put the soaked paper towel where I wanted him to pee. When my dog went over to sniff it where I wanted him to pee (on a ***** potty pad), I praised him and told him good boy. Also when he sniffed the soaked paper towel, I lifted his leg like the motion he does when he pees. He connected the two together and the next time, he went pee on his potty pad. As soon as he went pee where I wanted him to, I gave him lots of praise and a treat. Don't punish him for not doing what you want. He's gonna get confused and sad. Just keep repeating the steps and hopefully you get a potty trained dog!

So why do you think you don't need to take a class? You don't know how to do this. Professional trainers are there to teach you. What's the problem? Puppies need socialization, and they get that at puppy class.

Ask your vet for a referral to a good puppy socialization class, or contact a trainer through the Association of Pet Dog Trainers:

And calm down. Just because a puppy has an accident and doesn't understand you should not make you angry.

You have lots to learn. Go to a class.

    start with toilet training

    1. Watch for signs that your puppy has to go to the toilet (sniffing, circling etc), then take it outside immediately.

    2. A young puppy has no bladder control and will need a toilet break after eating, drinking, sleeping or playing. At night, your puppy will need to go at least every three hours.

    3. Punishment is not the way to deal with 'accidents' - your puppy won't understand and may even find a 'secret spot' to relieve itself when you're out of sight.

    4. Praise your puppy every time it 'goes' in the right spot.

    5. Treat your puppy in the same way you would your own infant - with patience, constant supervision and a gentle touch.

Don't get mad at the puppy. That may confuse him more. Just be patient. And the training class is really the best thing. Not only does it socialize the puppy but they don't get angry at the dog because it doesn't immediately understand them

look on line foe training tips. to house break a dog you need to take him out often and reward him for going where he is suposed to. when he goes in the house tell him no firmly and immeadiatly take him out. so he knows what he did. If you can not be in the same room with the dog crate it so it doesnt pee when your not looking. always take the dog out right after it eats and wakes up.

It always amazes me when people expect their puppy to be so much smarter than a human baby. Please ask your mom to tell you how long it took to potty train you, and how many times she changed your diaper. Ask her if she got angry when you did it in your diaper, instead of the toilet.

    .

    Routine is the key..

Feed 3 times per day at the same times daily..Put the bowl away after 10 minutes..

Take him outside after every feeding. He will go about 10-15 minutes after being fed, at his age. It will take awhile for him to learn/develop bladder control, but potty should be easier. Feed on a strict schedule, so that he isn't fed just before bedtime, as he will need to go shortly after being fed..Young pups should be fed and then walked 3 times per day, UNTIL THEY POOP...He will need more frequent outings for peeing...Walk him just before bedtime, to make certain he is empty..

Never scold for mistakes, but give lavish praise every time he goes outside, like he won the spelling bee.....Pups can only hold their pee for 1 hour, per month of age..So, its important to empty them just before bedtime..

Use the same word every time, such as 'do the doody', or whatever..

The most important thing is to watch him closely, and scoop him up and outside when he begins to act restless, turn circles, etc. soon he will whine and look at you when he needs to go.

Here is a great site to tell you how to raise your puppy, and all about how to handle each problem.:

If you don't know how to train a dog, and it sure sounds like you don't have ANY experience, you realkly, really need to attend a training class. These classes teach YOU how to train your dog. They don't DO it for you.

so u have a puppy named whitty . make it stay closer to u and interact with u . treat him with love and care.

the first sign of obediance for pups are they move their tail when u call them .

terat him like a member of the family and give him amassage around his belly and neck and make him comfortable with u

then u can see changes ni his behaviour.

  • The puppy is too small to understand. you need to take him to classes to train him.
