how can i get the INI files back on my laptop ?

lost my INI files, had a latude laptop given to me will get to set up and safe area, says ini files missing, what do i do,

not a comp whiz, know enought to crash one lol

    find someone with the same laptop and copy it. or boot up in safe mode and try writing one, not ez. or just put in the windows disk and do a copy over not a reinstall a copy over.
