Micksmixxx, my laptop has 2 different capacities 2+4=6gb and you said it must be both same size, so now I can't add 8gb instead of 2gb the one already in the laptop? I'm confused now coz I asked question from the link you sent to me and they said I can put even 16gb

You CAN replace your memory modules, which are SODIMM memory modules, sir.
If you insert two different size memory modules, such as the 8GB and 4GB that you mention, you will lose dual channel functionality. It's better if you install two memory modules of the same size.
See the following Crucial.com page, which shows memory modules that are compatible with your HP ENVY 14-2014ee Beats notebook computer.

it is very i.portant that BOTH RAM sticks be not only the same size, but actually, both identical moddl numbers as well.
your best bet is to look at the model number on the 4GB stick you have now, and go to eBay and type it in there in their search box.
otherwise, most stores sell matching pairs of RAM sticks, for this reason.
