Anything Goes is a great show by Cole Porter, so you might want to check out other shows like this. Some you can look at are Annie Get Your Gun, Music Man, Chicago, and Follies. A good audition song for a lower male voice is "Old Man River" from Showboat. If you do a search on the MTI website, mtishows.com, you can check out shows similar to Anything Goes and they will have song lists and voice ranges. Break a leg...hope you get it!

Stay with Cole Porter - always best to use a song by the same composer for an audition! Porter wrote hundreds of fantastic songs; have a look at songs from Kiss Me, Kate, which is probably his best-known musical along with Anything Goes. "You'd Be So Nice to Come Home To" is one of my personal favourite Porter songs, as is "Night And Day". If you have time, get the film "De-Lovely" out and watch that - it's a biopic about Porter and includes a lot of his most famous songs sung by some great singer/actors. Have a look here: http://www.thepeaches.com/music/composers/cole/Son... for a very comprehensive list of Porter songs. Break a leg!

C'mon - the main overdone song of all time is the next day from Annie. To such an quantity that it incredibly is mocked now in video clips because of fact the horrid baby might desire to sing in to the family members throughout holiday. Your checklist? i might sidestep any coach it incredibly is better than ten years previous -- so as that scratches out Cats, MFL, Fiddler and Showboat. in my opinion, i might want to work out (older than ten years) songs which would be a sprint extra imprecise -- say, Babette from on the 20 th Century. That one is a venture so it relatively is super for an audition yet if the director is familiar with it -- he will approve and be flattered and could solid you the coach!

You can sing I'll Be by Edwin Mccain. That's a good song, and it can show your range
