XML Files, same name or different names.
Hi Guys
I am trying to get a copier to produce XML files. I always thought that they were given the same name just with different file extentions, but this machine is placeing a -001 at the end. Will date managment programs still pick up the connection there????

It's probably just the convention the copier's software had for creating the files. True, the extension is likely going to be different (probably .xml), but changing the name helps emphasize the difference (especially when browsing a folder with display of extensions turned off). If software designed by the same company is going to read those files, chances are it will take that naming convention into account anyway. If it's made by someone else, it probably has no idea of how the file would be named in the first place.
(BTW, when I saw the title, first thing I thought was "So, Mulder became a software analyst after leaving the FBI?")

why? it won't be able to. once you're making an excel report Excel.exe makes a undeniable XML-report to layout your xls report and shows it in excel. yet changing excel to XML is prefer to transform mp3 music to html report. i do no longer think of you are able to.
