Why has this site done away with the spell check?

    It hasn't. People seem to think it either isn't there, or just don't like the way it works. We now have auto spell check as you type. If you spell a word wrong, a balloon pops up over on the right telling you you have misspelling(s). At that point you'll see a link to "Open Spell Check", and you'll get the usual spelling suggestions. Yes, you'll see proper names questioned as misspelled, company names (i.e. Google), and our some times quirky punctuation questioned, and use of caps-lock. Some of those things can just be ignored, or you can change them... it doesn't interfere with what you're typing.
