Airbag question for my 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4wd
I had an accident in my truck and the airbag did not deploy. All damage was in the front of the truck. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what did you do about it? Is there a way I can get my airbags tested to see if the malfunctioned?
BTW, EVERYTHING on the front end was pushed towards the firewall. A tractor trailer ran over the front of my truck.

there's a sensor on the frame that should have set the air bag off,if the sensor isn't working right it will not set it off, that has happened to a lot of people,it isn't just dodges that do it though all vehicles have sensor failure causing the air bags not to deploy, have a shop check the sensors and see if they were good, they should have deployed,i bought a truck that was hit hard enough that they shoud have went off but they didnt, good luck.

The bumper has to hit or be hit for airbags to deploy. If damage was above the bumper(such as hitting a deer) the air bags will not deploy.

There is a specific set of conditions that will allow an airbag deployment.
Your collision did not meet those conditions.
