call her on call waiting and ask her if she wants you to leave?

I always say the live person in front of you has more importance, and deserves more attention then one who only calls on a phone.

So yes!,it is rude to stay on the phone for any longer then a few minutes.

I usually get up and leave when someones takes a call, and talks for an extended amount of time.

When your friend is on the phone, does she still talk to you? I know girls LOVE to talk on the phone. My sister use to call her friends like 4 hours a night, my mom would sometimes call people for 4 striaght hours too! It's UNBELIEVABLE!!!! But! If your friend is ignoring you, then theres a problem. If you friend isn't ignoring you, talking to you AND on the phone with someone else, then you just gotta accept that. People are what they are, and do what they do.

i think its definatly rude, but most people do it to look more popular, i hate it when people are constantly on the phone, my husband and i would go out to dinner, and his mom always calls over the stupidest reasons, i hate it so i made a rule that no phones, dont hang out with the friend if its annoying like that, obviously they dont have respect for you
