A yahoo answers question. ANSWER!!!

Actually now that i think about it, people would just get their answers and then delete the question later and get all their points back.so thatd not work so well

If no one answers your question then Yahoo! removes the question after the deadline for answering has expired and you get a refund of the 5 points that it cost you to post the question but if you delete the question yourself it costs you 2 points. In that case hopefully you only lose a grand total of 2 points as hopefully you also get a refund of the 5 points for posting it. Perhaps if you received a few answers before deleting the question yourself you lose 7 points (5 points for posting it plus another 2 points for deleting it).

The system encourages people to answer questions. If there was no 5 point charge for asking a question perhaps you would get too many questions and not enough answers.

If you delete a question all the answers are deleted and this upsets a few users so a 2 point charge seems very fair to me.

That would be really cool if you can because its like you wasted 5 points for nothing. Except for that your question was out anyway for people to see it so if it is in the listings it counts, but i do think you should still get your 5 points back.

Yes. I wish I got my 5points back for the few questions I've deleted. I deleted them because nobody even answered them or they were just bad answers.

I think we should get more points for answering questions too!
