Yes, on the 30th of November 2006, after 50 years of drinking I went into re-hab, joined AA and left my drinking days behind me forever, I have a new job, a new home and even new wife.

Yes and I have never regretted the decision. The only thing I took was a samll bag of stuff for my daughter and it didn't worry me at all to leave everything behind. I now have 10 times what I had and peace of mind as well. I cried alot but I think that was relief more than any thing. Yes I am happier now what I left behind had come to mean nothing at all.

yes. best move I ever made. Sometimes you have to lose everything to get your life back. Slept on the floor of my apartment for three months, literally had nothing in there but a blanket and a pillow! I'm still not where I want to be but I'm very close!

I'm just about to - I've packed most of my stuff in the attic, sold nearly all of my furniture and I'm going to go backpacking and never come back - starting with South America. I'll be on a tight budget, living off letting my home, but it'll be a better life.
Hopefully I'll leave next month.

Yes.
It didn't work out, but I'm proud I made the attempt. I know I can survive by myself. I'll probably move to another state by next year.
