Is it me, or is this place losing it's 'wow' factor?

Yeah, I agree. I used to look forward to going on Y!A every day (I do actually have a life, I swear!), but anymore, its just more of the same old stuff. There used to be so many fun, thought-provoking questions and answers, but not less lately. Some of the really fun people seem to have left too; there are still a lot of cool regulars, but its not the same fun group as was here when I first came last year. And more and more it seems like there are "Top Contributors" who I have never seen before but who are all of a sudden TC's, and a lot of people who are real regulars but are not TC's. That might not be relevent, but it irritates me.

I just got back here after being on vacation for a week or so, and I don't even feel like I've missed much, where before, not having internet access would just about kill me.

'wow' factor. I lol'd at that. But yeah I agree completely, I only check on here every once in a while to see if my contacts asked something good, if there's nothing I just leave. There's better **** to do. I don't think there's any way to make it more exciting, nor should there be; the reason it's getting boring is because you people hang around here too much. It's just a Q&A site, you shouldn't sit around refreshing the page.

Am I totally off base here? " Yes and no. Certainly if everyone took better care of themselves our health care costs would go down. I've no problem with your reasoning and statistics but you cannot be making misguided assumptions and accusations without knowing the facts. You have no idea if the person's obesity is because of heredity or poor life style choices. You do not know if the person is dealing with thyroid issues. You do not even know if the person is currently on a weight reduction program and is making a valiant effort to lose some weight. Unless you know the person really well and are motivated to talk to the person because you are genuinely concerned about that person's well being it best that you channel your efforts towards fast food outlets and companies producing high fat food products.

The place is only as good as we make it. I think that we have formed little groups on here and so once the battle is over you sort of get bored. It is just like good friends after you know just about everything about them, you want to find something new to explore. I think that in someways the seriousness has gone down, and people just try to achieve a high level. So it leads to simple silly questions and answers. I like to play as much as the next person, but we are not doing the heavy lifting like we did before.

Pantera would be it for me.

Everyone needs a break now and then, it's a good thing. I've been using this for almost 2.5 years now and I'll take breaks..sometimes as long as four weeks or so. It helps make things look exciting again.

MQ: Pantera..I dislike Anthrax.

You make a good point, but at least the Jonas Bothers and Camp Rock questions have been dying down a bit here in R&P.

Jake made a good point there are some good users that have left this section (Persephone and Zodiac Killer) which has kinda killed some of the wow factor in here.

I don't blame you. It's true about us bored teenagers. And this place is starting to lose its pizazz (wow, I actually spelled that right!). I'll be on here a lot less, starting next week.

I agree. I'm burnt out with it. Its all the same stuff. Its either bash a JB fan or their are a bunch of the same Qs like <this band> or <this Band>, what do you think about <any band here>. A lot of it is music I dont know or cant get into.I'm taking a break from it and see what happens but either its changed here or I just got bored with it

All that has been cooling down a little.

Edit* To tell the truth, I never really get bored of Y!A. It kills time and keeps me entertained. Better then sitting on your couch all day drooling at the walls.

Been in limbo for 2 weeks, myself. Music is unknown to me in the Qs. I need Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Metallica, Testament, etc... I will take Pantera over Anthrax any day o' th' week!
