There are three ways to pay for it. You can use a credit card, Not a visa gift card, they don't work.
If you do not have a credit card, you can get a reloadable visa card by going to CVS, Rite Aid, Miejers and picking up a green Dot Visa reloadable card. When you pick it up pay the store to put 150 on the card. THen go home and register the card by going online to the card website and entering your home address etc... in. they will then give you your actual card number with expiration date and security code. Then call sony and give them the information.....In a week or so the actual card will be mailed to you but you don't have to wait for it, you can use the info the card company gives you after you enter your address etc...
You can use your existing paypal account to get a one time use visa card number and expiration date and security number, once you finish online with payapl call sony with the information.

If your warranty is expired, the way you pay Sony for a replacement PS3 is to buy a new one. If you bought a service contract from the seller (like Best Buy, for example) which promises repair or replacement for a period longer than Sony's warranty, contact the seller and/or reread the contract.
