I made my girlfriend order off the dollar menu. Is she mad?

LOL! If you really like this girl you would have planned ahead and made sure you had plenty of money. Not that you have to spend a lot but hell dude! You want this girl to go out with you and you pull a stunt like this. Did you even pay for her ticket? Dollar Menu? LOL. What should you do? Apologize and swallow your pride if you still have any.

wow that really was cheap! mcdonalds is cheap food already but you said only the dollar menu? lol you should have skipped the movie and taken her somewhere better like a place that does have combos! and then take her out for a walk around the park (which is free)!

another thing is you could have mentioned before that you didn't have alot of money to spend. most girls are willing to pay for themselves so she probably wouldn't be mad at you! so i think you should let her know that you didn't plan the date very well and that you are sorry. find a more affordable way to take her out (without looking cheap) and show her a good time. only if she lets you.

I understand her feelings. That was a selfish move, but I understand that you don't understand her feelings because a lot of women say "Gifts don't matter and it's the thought that counts" but making her order only 2 things (which can really harm a girls self esteem, she could have assumed you were making her watch her weight) off the dollar menu "due to financial issues" should be fine, but then you go and buy yourself something large that costed money that you made it seem like you really didn't have wasn't smart. Just...just. If you hadn't had that in a while, maybe you should have gone some other time to have it? When you were--I don't know, alone? She's probably still angry, but she should cool down soon. If you call her again, try to make plans to go to a *fancy restaurant, and don't keep her from buying the lobster "Due to financial issues" I get that money's tight, but if you "love her" then you should make it up to her. Well I was about to yell at you too until I saw that you guys went to movies previously.

Now, I think that she is being a bit high maintenance. If my boyfriend paid for everything at the movies, and then wanted to get things off of the dollar menu at McDonald's, I would be perfectly fine with it and wouldn't fuss..

lol you are a cheap bastard! I agree with her but, if you are going to make stipulations like that you should tell her before you are going out to eat that all you can afford is the McDonald's value menu, if that really is all you can afford, because going to the movies does get quite expensive!

The fact that you paid like 30 dollars on a movie she shouldn't be mad. I'm a woman and I do not get mad at my boyfriend when we go to Macdonald's. You want to save money and there is nothing wrong with that. You may have done it the wrong way but you can learn from that. Next time save money take her to a art show or a free outdoor concert. If she complains leave; she was prob. into money anyway.

McDonalds is a cheap enough date that restricting her to the dollar menu is just plain insulting. If you ever want to get in anyone's pants EVER, you're going to have to do better than this, buddy.
