It shouldn't do anything to the dog in the case of intestinal worms - except for some puppies get a bit down for a day sometimes - but not usually. That's only due to the intestinal upset - the actual wormer shouldn't enter the dog's system except to travel through the intestines, at all. Puppies are just really sensitive to *anything* that happens in their innards.

It will depend on the dog and the drug involved but my dogs, if they have been influenced at all, have usually been a bit sleepy for 4 or 5 hours after dosing but then make up for it by being exceptionally bouncy for the next few hours or even days.
There have never been any adverse effects.

My dog doesn't get tired after being wormed. He only gets tired after his rabies shot, but that was just his first one and he was younger.
Ask the vet, they can give you a better answer on the side effects than me.

Depending on the tablets or form of administrating the drug, there is usually no effect at all. I would expect at the worst your dog might be a little drousy.
