unemployment question..from start to finish..how many weeks or months can i collect unemployment

how long does it last untill it runs out

    it is 26 weeks and bush just signed a bill for a 13 week extension.. so 39 weeks!

    This is controlled by the State you live in. Some supply 26 weeks and some 13. The amount you receive is based on your wages from your previous employment. During the period you collect unemployment, you must be able and available for employment and apply at a certain number of places during each week.
