If I purchase a movie on demand, can I record it to my dvr

If so how? Thanks.

    no, when you record on the dvr it records what is scheduled on the guide at that time slot, channel 1 is ondemand and doesnt have a guide, so it cant record that stuff.

    Ryan is right. When you buy a VOD movie your not really watching a channel per say. However if your were to purchase a Pay-Per-View movie, you can record that to your DVR since you have to tune to a certain channel to watch that movie. VOD usually only has 24 hour rentals where you can watch them as many times as you want. Only way to save VOD movie is if you were to buy a DVD Recorder and hook that up to your DVR and record it the movie with the DVD recorder while the movie plays in real time.

    Well, I have Shaw dvr and i can record my movies on demand so i would think it would be the same with comcast
