Is there a way to accelerate peeling from a sunburn?
I got a pretty nasty sunburn last weekend, but I have a wedding to attend in 4 days, and I would rather not be peeling at the wedding - nobody likes to shed skin while they're in formalwear! It's just barely starting to peel right now...is there a way to speed up the process without hurting myself? I was thinking of exfoliating with a sugar scrub or something, but will that cause more harm than good? My skin is still red and warm to touch at the moment.

Use either a loofah or a light pumice stone to gently exfoliate your skin while in the shower. Though it may not all peel off, you can try to blend the peeled part with the unpeeled part through the exfoliating. If it turns out to be blotchy, then use the Sally Hansen spray on legs stuff - you can use it anywhere on your body, and it helps to blend all of that. Good luck!

Same Thing That Happened To Me Before An Important Event. I Got Sun Happy Stayed In The Sun For Nearly The Whole Afternoon. Then That Night I Noticed That My Arms And Legs Felt Hot To The Touch And My Arms Were Sore And Sensitive. The Next Day I Noticed My Arms Were Sorer Than The Day Before, 3rd Day I Started To Peel, There's Now Way In 4 days You Can Take Off Your Peeling Skin. It Took Me 1-1/2 Weeks To Get All My Peeling Skin Off. And It's Not Really A Good Idea To Try Exfoliate Your Skin If it's Warm Or Sensitive To Touch. I Recomend Moisturizing Often Even Washing Your Arms 3 Times A Day To Get Some Of The Peeling Skin Off Then Moisturizing Again After Each Wash, The Moistuzing Helps Heal The Skin.
