help me set up my wireless (sony vaio)!
i have a sony vaio '05 notebook. we have uploaded the manual and turned on the switch on the front of the laptop. we have a belkins wireless router and it is sending fine (other computer is working off this router). what are we not doing? is there a card that needs to be installed? this computer was a gift, and the previous owner said that the wireless works. any ideas?
and i should mention that i am an idiot, so if you have any advice, please spell it out. i don't know what ms networking files are or where to find them.
incoming connections says no clients connected.

Make sure the MS networking files are all loaded

In the lower right-hand corner of the systray is usually any wireless monitors that are running. You are probably running XP so you could go try to use the Wireless connection wizard from the Control Panel Network Connections icon.
There may be a piece of Belkin software on the installation cd that you need to install on your notebook. See if the cd directory has any readme files or if there is a help file that can be accessed for help adding your notebook.

if its alredy enabled then ur computer should see yours and other wireless network around if not use a flash usb and have your laptop put into the wireless group on ur main computer where the router is attach then just plug the flash to your laptop and your done.
