Hit ctrl-alt-delete button or type taskmgr.exe in run (from start menu) to open windows task manager. Look for running programs under processes.

Assuming you're using windows: Hit control-alt-delete to bring up the task manager, but instead of the normal 'applications' tab, go to 'processes.' It will show you everything that's running (foreground or background,) along with the CPU/memory usage, and what user it's running on.
