what is the difference between northern girls and southern girls?

I liked the answer that said southern girls drink sweet tea. We definitely drink a LOT of that...mmm Chicken Express sweet tea is the best!

I live in Texas but used to live up North, and the main difference I see between Southern girls and Northern girls is that Southern girls generally seem to be a little bit more laid back.

Also, Southern fashion can be different than the norm. Girls here tend to go for bigger and "blingier" jewelry offsetting clean crisp (colorful) outfits, and as far as handbags we go for the BIG ones with large diamond crosses on zebra print and stuff. Everything just kind of has that "Southern twang" to it, if you will. Everything points back to the farm/ranch somehow.

Also, most (but definitely not all), okay all die-hard Southern girls love country music and two-stepping (a kind of dance). FUN TIMES! And rodeos.

And if you're from a rural town like me, it's ALL about sports! (Friday night football, basketball later on, making the playoffs, track and field in the spring,etc.)

Also, in a small, Southern rural town, you know everyone and everyone knows you. So it's all just like one big family. (sometimes good, sometimes NOT.)

Bottom line: obviously not everyone fits this description, but these trends seem to be the most prominent, at least that I've seen here in the panhandle of Texas.

Don't know because I am not in the northern part of america. I'm pure southern! I could only assume with the rest, perhaps accents but to also add maybe more color tone in our skin?

northern girls near new england and stuff seem to be more prissy and stuck up. trust me i live there. and in the south, everyone has more respect and is nicer and friendlier. im the nice northern girl though ;]
