What will happen if my car keeps leaking antifreeze?
2002 Sonata has been leaking antifreeze for about 2 weeks now. Just wanted to know what should I do. Is it ok to run the air conditioner or does it affect something else?

Fixing the leak may be as simple as tightening a radiator hose, if you ignore the leak and overheat the car you could be shopping for a new engine.

It is going to overheat. You should really get his checked out. Until you can get a mechanic to look at it.....add water to your radiator. Seriously, you should go outside and do that right now, providing the engine is cool. Don't try to take the radiator cap off if the engine is hot, you can get burned even if the coolant level is low.

First, make sure that the overflow tank is filled to required mark before you drive so that you don't overheat. Second, if you park on a blacktop driveway, you will eat holes in it , really

You'll definitely need to replace the lost coolant, but you should get it fixed. Auto coolant (ethylene glycol) isn't very ecologically friendly. And it's very dangerous to small animals because it tastes sweet but is deady toxic. Make sure you dog/cat/other small animals can't access pools of spilled coolant.
