How can I connect my pc to a landline and pc operate as a regular phone?

I am looking for a software which runs on my pc and operate as a regular phone on my pc. Do you know what software? and where I can get it?

    Try Express Dial by NCH Software:

    It works in conjuction with a Voice Modem on your PC to facilitate phone calling from your PC over PSTN landlines. It also works with thier VoIP softphone too.

    Asterisk - runs under Linux ONLY

    You need a telco board, all the info is in the Asterisk file.
