    Nope. Runner beans are runner beans and kidney beans are kidney beans.

    As stated above, the 'beans' inside the pods of many varieties look similar; they just come from different plants.

    Sometimes, because they are the same shape as a kidney. The other one you are thinking of is probably the red kidney bean: they're red and the same shape as a kidney. Mind you, a lot of other beans are the same shape as a kidney. However, if they were all called kidney beans, it would be very confusing. :-)

    No they aren't kidney beans. KIDNEY BEAN -- The kidney bean is the kidney shaped seed of a common shell bean. Both red and white varieties exist, although the white kidney bean is more commonly called a cannellini bean.

    I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.
