What is the "best" electric shaver for men?

My husband wants a new one. He just not know what is a good brand name to go with. He was also hoping to find one under $100. Do you know of any good ones. If so can you share the website or the store they are located. Thanks for answering.

Honestly, only he can answer that Question, sorry.

The "best" one is the one he can get used to. Beards and faces end up different. For example: with rotary razors, some folks *swear by* Norelcos, while others do not like the way those *pull* at your face, and use Remingtons or some other brand instead.

The same also holds true for reciprocal razors (ones whose cutters go back and forth, under a foil). It takes a few weeks for a face to get used to *ANY* shaving method, wet, dry, bladed or electric. So there's going to be a slight bit of trial and error, sorry to say.

Generally speaking, more guys use reciprocal razors than rotaries. Rotary razors get closer but are harder to clean, maintain and get used to, not to mention they also are bad to use in the summer in terms of razor burn.

Among reciprocal (back and forth) razors, Remingtons are basically at the bottom of the market, barring off-brands like Conair and such. The more foils and cutters you can get on these things, the closer the shave gets as well. But generally speaking, Remingtons have a habit of wearing out quickly and don't maintain their performance well.

Brauns are better if pricier, and harder to find replacement foils and cutters for. If you can score a Panasonic razor, particularly of the "wet/dry" variety, try one, they do tend to be an acquired taste though--works out really *Really* well for some, sucks completely for others.

Just remember though, you do get what you pay for. Some of the older, simpler models will *always* be on sale or clearance priced at the bigger stores, but if you go that route, you should buy at least *one* set of replacement foils and cutters just in case. And while the ones with more cutters and foils are more expensive, they do a better job too.

So yeah...let him pick one or two models, based on what he thinks would work for his beard. Then give it a week or two of use to see if his face gets used to it. ^_^ I hope this was helpful.
