Why am I holding back?

Scenario: A person has been out of your life for a long time. One day you find correspondence from them in your mail box. You talk back and forth several times over a few months, the other person seeming to have no profession (work) but claiming undying love. The person is moving from one state to another (neither yours) and wants to come see you between the transition. Does this sound suspicious or is my imagination overworking?

    that seems VERY suspicious... i wouldn't trust the person.. sounds like they want something from you.

    Yeah, that does sound kind of suspicious. How did they even get your address if you haven't been in contact for a really long time.
