Cleaning up Generator power

I have heard that Generators have dirty power.. Can't be used for Electronics. TVs, Computers and the like. How can I eliminate this problem, I live in a place that I will run a generator (5Kw) for my hole house.

A hole house is an interesting concept, but do you feel like you are in a rut? LOL. Seriously, There are several devices that can level power and clean it up. Battery banks are good and consistent, and would probably produce the cleanest source. A line leveler is the most common device. Some manufacturers of Generators have these built into the generator. Check with your manufacturer. (Onan is good)

What you are talking about is the Sine Wave. Many generators don't produce true Sine Wave current. The result is your electronics will burn up.

Check your generator info when you go to purchase one. There are several generators that produce true Sine Wave Current and they will state it on their brochures, etc. as it is a major selling feature.

Also be aware that most inverters are not true Sine Wave. They will burn out electronics when the Sine Wave varies. True Sine Wave Inverters cost more than the regular inverter so be ready to shell a few $$ more.

Talk to the manufacturers not us. They don't like the idea of being sued therefore they are an excellent source of info.

But if this is true run the power into batteries the use a inverter.
