Who is Yves Ruarte? Besides being a wealthy art collector?
I attended an exhibit of Women Impressionists (mid-19th and early 20th century), and most of the paintings had an ID card showing to whom the painting belonged. Many showed the owner as "Yves Ruarte". I would like to learn something about him.
At a large exhibit of late 19th and early 20th century paintings by Women Impressionists, I noted the ID cards on many showed that the owner was "Yves Ruarte". I would like to learn something about Monsieur Ruarte. If you share an interest in this style of painting (think Monet-Renoir-Degas-Manet among the men), this exhibit is at the Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco until Sep. 21, 2008.
Sorry! I should have said that I googled his name but alas, nothing. Monsieur Ruarte is not, as far as I know, an artist.
