Human vs. bald eagle

I personally believe that in this specific situation, the bald eagle would have the upper hand. They are able to attack from high grounds, and are far superior when it comes to velocity. When dealing with hand to ... er, claw combat, it is crucial that one keeps in mind the issue of velocity. Nothing is more important than velocity. Having the higher ground can be quite important as well, though.

Lets go into the science.

Human has higher developed brain through years of honing. The eagle would assume the human as a large prey and attempt to dive it with talons extended. Against a normal human with lots of hair they would appear as a large mouse giving the eagle a confidence boost leading to higher success rates. However if the Human was bald he would use the highly developed brain to avoid the diving eagle (hesitant to strike fearing it is one of its own). At this point the bald man could grab the eagle and strangle him, though it would still put up a great fight making it a worthy adversary.
