Can you help to interpret my dream?

Hi, Ive recently split with my girlfriend. I had a dream two nights ago, maybe you can figure out what it means?

Basically I was in a a flat which was my girlfriends, we were braking up, I kissed her in the doorway of the lift, said goodbye and left, as I came out I kept crossing roads (this was actually a place in my hometown) each time i went to cross the road there would be a car coming, I would get one foot off the kerb and then have to step back on the side as the car was too close. I got to traffic lights and for some reason had to go back. Walking back a man had parked a transit van on the road and with his back doors open was loading old bits of wood into the back, instead of walking in front of the parked van I chose to walk round the back of it, stopping the man loading the wood, he said "go on lad" and let me pass and I thanked him. As i got back I was standing at the lift, pressing the buttons to get to my girlfriends flat (on the top floor) only the lift wouldn't arrive, as I did I kept noticing all young people around my age entering into the flats (all living in them). I decided to take the stairs, and got to the top floor, as I did I noticed the carpet was the same as the carpet in my girlfriends loft. I walked into the flat only I had got the wrong one and had gone too far up the stairs so coming back down i noticed the flat opened up into three others and remember thinking how strange it was that all three flats were kind of open plan and that there were no doors. As i stood there I tried ringing my girlfriend when I noticed a lot of people in the open plan flats walking towards the windows some using phones, all looking like they were in shock, when i approached to see what they were looking at I saw across the river a huge fire and a digger lifting wrecked cars out the way. The fire was so hot you could barely see for shimmering intense heat waves. As I was looking my gf approached from behind and said "hi what are you doing..." then picked her phone out of her bag, I said "where have you been, its me ringing you look" then I woke up!!

A bit strange I know, but if you any thoughts on what it could be I would really appreciate your thoughts!! Thanks.
