Male English Mastiff.

Question

I have a 3 year old Mastiff.  He never used to get up on the bed or couch with me at all, ever, unless my boy friend was with me.  Now, all of the sudden, he sleeps with me all the time.  Even if I get up in the middle of the night and go out onto the porch to sleep, he will follow me out there.  

I would like to add that I work at home, he has around me all the time, and stuck to me like glue prior to the age of 3 (still does), but is just now cuddling.  Any ideas?

probably, his jealousy worked up. when you and your boyfriend are together, he is jealous forsure. and since you were with your boyfriend prior, he feels insecure and feels that you love your boyfriend more than him. he's still feeling jealous even though your boyfriend isnt there and wants to make sure hes with you all the time. 

they actually use this as a training method to bond dogs and their owners together if the dog has an unusual "disliking" or distance form their owners. they bring another dog and make the owner play with it in front of their own dog. that triggers their jealousy and they slowly begin to approach and play with the owner more.

HE probably probably feels insecure or feels  confortable around you more ofter now
