Would you please give me ideas for recipes as jar gifts?

I have never done this before, so even the most basic hot choc mix or choc chip cookies will be helpful!

Here's something I did one year that was very well-recieved (its an herbed rice mix): http://jas.familyfun.go.com/recipefinder/display?i...

This isn't the chocolate chip recipes that I usually use, but its very similar: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Best-Chocolate-Chip-C...

Just layer the dry ingredients inside a jar...and don't forget to add directions for the rest of the ingredients!

I haven't tried this either but it might be just what you are looking for!: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Hot-Cocoa-Mix-in-a-Ja...

If you don't mind doing a little canning:

    Jams, jellies

Dilly beans or asparagus (use a dill pickle recipe - but use fresh green beans or asparagus instead of cucumber)

    Salsas and chutneys
