Does yahoo take coffee breaks especially when you want to answer some one in particular ?

Yes, this has happened numerous times to me in the past week. And it happens with people I've answered before and have linked to me and other users I've not answered before.

I don't necessarily think you are getting "blocked" by someone. It happened to me earlier this evening. There were two questions by the same asker. The answer to the first question got the "coffee break" message. That was 5 hours ago and that "coffee break" seems to permanent. The answer to the 2nd question went through without a problem.

I've noticed that some of the category subheadings have been changed and the questions I'm answering that get that "coffee break" reply fall under the old sub category headings. Yes, it is irritating, especially after you've spent some time researching an answer.

Update on the "coffee break glitch"

Under the "New Format" for Answers, using any symbol other than the ? , within the content of the answer, will probably get either the coffee break taking a breather page instead of your answer getting posted.

State the text instead of using the symbol, such as per cent. This should help you get around the problem until yahoo answers fixes the glitch.

I just replied to a question I kept getting the coffee break message with and changed the answer by taking out the per cent symbol. It worked. The answer got posted.

Something other than a coffee break is going on, and I agree it is odd that the more I care about a response that I am crafting the more likely it is that I get the message that you speak of. I have wondered if it is because I type quite slowly, as it occurs most often when I am writing longer answers (more likely to be long when I care, most of my answers are a little long winded). I think most likely is that they are just overloaded.

Ive been trying to ASK a question and they had a coffee break every single time/day. I dont want to waste 5 points on checking if asking questions in another category works. But i thought they were on a caffine spree with this. Oh well, got my answer. Looks like ill just have to post in another catagory. LOL.

And dont worry, the person didnt block you, its just that in particular areas, you just cannot answer/ask.

no its not just you that has happened to me too before. and no they havent blocked you its just that yahoo needed to take a coffee break... lol. go figure. that especially happens when its a question that i really want to answer just like you said! but oh well life goes on lets just hope this doesnt happen too many more times. it gets annoying!! haha. good luck!

This happens to me and it happens when I try to ask a question too. Yahoo hates us! It's dumb why do they need a break anyway?? I don't think the person blocked you.

whyyy sista its because u touch urself at night and the lord jesus watches u touch urself.. he and i both know where you are touching urself.. in ur forsaken garden.. stop touching it and the coffee breaks will go away... u shud know better
